Welcome to the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga.
As chairman of the Department of Economics for the 2021-2025 service period, I encourage all study programs under the Department of Economics, namely the S1 Development Economics study program, Master's Degree in Economics (MIE) and Doctoral Economics (DIE) study programs to become international standard study programs with the target is to enter the 2 best study programs at the global level.
In terms of the quality of graduates, we encourage graduates of study programs under the Department of Economics to have competitive competitiveness so that they can be immediately absorbed in the job market, either in government or private institutions. In addition, we also encourage our graduates to have an entrepreneurial spirit (entrepreneurship) who excel in the face of an increasingly complex world of work.
In terms of service to stakeholders, the Department of Economics wants to be more responsive and able to adapt to changing times so that it can become a bridge between the academic world and the world of work, industry and society as a whole.
To achieve the target of internationalization of study programs, improving the quality of graduates, as well as improving stakeholder services, we are committed to providing the best learning experience for students. We present this commitment through the presence of teaching staff (lecturers) at the Department of Economics, the majority of whom have doctoral degrees, both domestically and abroad. In addition, we periodically make adjustments (Update) curriculum, holding guest lectures and writing workshops, holding programs double degrees, student exchange and so on. We want to ensure that students in the study programs under the Department of Economics can study well so that they reach their best academic potential.
