Guest Lecture : Recent Trends in Development Economics and Micro Empirical Approaches

UNAIR Department of Economics on April 1, 2022 has successfully held a guest lecture with the title "Recent Trends in Development Economics and Micro Empirical Approaches". In this guest lecture, he invited a resource person from Ritsumeikan University, Japan, namely Prof. Seki Mai. In this guest lecture, he explained several things regarding empirical research in development economics which has developed quite rapidly from what initially saw associative relationships now turning into causality. To discuss more deeply how the empirical approach/method is used to see the causality relationship between variables.

in this guest lecture moderated by one of the young lecturers of the department of economics, namely Mr. Wahyu Wisnu Wardana, SE., M.Sc. and was attended by more than 50 participants from undergraduate to postgraduate students as well as lecturers in the department of economics itself.

This guest lecture is expected to increase the knowledge of both students and lecturers to be more updated about the latest trends in economic research
